Grasslands Acquisitions LLC was formed in 2011 by John Fernando and Tanner Watkins of Ardmore, Oklahoma.

BEHIND THE NAME
In 1937, John H. Snodgrass (John Fernando’s great grandfather) purchased a piece of property north of Ardmore that would later be referred to as the “North Farm”. The property was on the north and south sides of a gravel county road, known today as “Snodgrass Road”.
“Daddy John” (John H. Snodgrass) passed away in 1985. His estate was devised to Charles and John F. Snodgrass (John Fernando’s grandfather). The two of them continued to acquire adjacent land until they had accumulated approximately 1,500 acres. John and Charles decided that they would each set aside 40 acres for constructing a home in the future. John F. and Joan Snodgrass decided to build their home and start a ranch on this piece of property. Soon after, they decided to call this ranch “Grasslands”, and the name has been a staple in the family ever since.
